The stunning new 'Rumah' Collection by Sage x Clare has landed!

Inspired by the tranquil village vibes and the soothing colours of twilight, Rumah – meaning ‘home’ in Indonesian – encapsulates that rare charm of authentic Bali. A colour palette featuring the rich blue-greens of the ocean, the pinks, oranges and reds of a summer sunset, lush botanical greens and earthy sand tones offers a bold yet soothing combination. And floral motifs, organic shapes and playful imagery are set against rich textures, ensuring this collection delivers an expression of laid-back luxury.

Indoor and outdoor living are taken care of thanks to woven waffle towels and playful accessories, some past Sage x Clare favourites have been re-released in fresh colour-ways and, as always, embroidery, hand-weaving, beadwork, tassels, shag and tufting offer a nod to authentic artisanal techniques. Rumah is a modern take on traditional design, with the same level of detail and craftsmanship you’ve come to expect from Sage x Clare.

Create your own tropical escape with this wide-ranging combination of homewares that celebrates the very best of Bali in a fabulous mish-mash of pattern, colour and texture.

Penney & Bennett - Spring styling tips for your bedroom!

Penney & Bennett

With spring upon us, it’s the perfect time to revamp your bedroom and your bed. We spoke to Penney + Bennett director Sarah Carson about the best ways to breathe some spring into your life… and your bed!

For styling, I like to place euro cushions at the front of the bed. It makes the bed feel more luxe and creates a cosy spot for reading.

I like to use contrasting printed euros or pillowslips from the rest of the bedding, for me colour evokes emotions, and that unexpected pop of colour to keep things interesting.

I love to invest in fresh bedding for spring, we are about to release a range of crisp 100% cotton bedding in our cascades print, which is the perfect print for warmer weather.

New Zealand homewares lable Penney + Bennett are devoted to creating simplicity, materiality and questioning the conventional in contemporary textile living-ware. They have just released their latest collection and we love love love!

They use only the highest quality natural cloth sourced internationally, the silks are hand picked and the linen is woven and dyed for Penney + Bennett. The fabrics are the base for experimental prints consisting of a range of traditional painting, drawing, photography and digital techniques.

Bold & Bright - OON release their AW18 collection ‘Falgun’

Styling - Greenhouse Interiors | Photography - Armelle Habib

Styling - Greenhouse Interiors | Photography - Armelle Habib

This season Oon goes bolder and brighter with their latest collection entitled 'Falgun'. Falgun is the Nepalese calendar month synonymous with the big colour festival 'holi' which is held at the beginning of each spring. The collection is inspired by the ideals of the festival - both the experience  and the observance. The colours of 'holi' are bright, contrasting, fun and joyous and that is exactly what the 'Falgun' collection embodies.

We love Oon's use of geometric patterns and tailored stitching, which are paired back with the use of natural textures, simple structures and organic shapes. Throughout the range their is a juxtaposition of carefully considered textures all perfectly complementing each other.

The AW18 Collection is all about celebrating colour by encouraging the use of bold colours, mixing and matching patterns and shapes and making a statement with interiors.

Oon continue to stay true to their core values by using traditional techniques, such as 'kantha' stitching from India, while always adding a touch of their signature contemporary style and edge.

Featuring shags, tailored stitching and organic shapes alongside muted shades of hazelnut, soft pink, navy with dashes of red and gold, we just know that you are going to love this range just as much as we do!

Arro Home recognises and is responding to shifting global demographics, where people are seeking a true lifestyle balance that informs how a home functions and serves.. and we absolutely love this about them!

This season see's the return of the ottoman which comes in three sizes and in a gorgeous array of colours. Their range of rugs are colourful, tactile, have the most gorgeous tasselling and some feature graphic imagery. And let's not forget the velvets... oh so gorgeous!

"We don't know about you, but we can already see ourselves sprawled out in the Oscar chair, feet hanging over the side, book in our lap. We're relaxed just thinking about it, actually. Mmm..." says Arro Home.

“Inspired rugs pair with monochrome cushions and revamped Arro favourites meet with modern twists. We introduce a versatile new colour-range of velvet ottomans alongside our lounge chairs and sofas. And we lift the layers on our entire collection with tasselled cushions and rugs. Arro Home brings together contemporary trends in urban living to cater for a world of movers: those who want to curate their space, even if the place isn’t permanent. From sprawling homes to studio apartments, we believe in the potential to make your space anew and do it from the ground up.” says Arro Home

""Go on. Put your feet up. You've earned it," is what the Aloft ottoman would say to you if it could. Who are we to argue? In a sumptuous rust velvet with a subtle sheen, you'll wonder where this ottoman has been all your life. Also comes in Small and Tall." says Arro Home.

"With its tassel texture and jewel tones, the Miette Rug (centre) is one sassy showstopper! Whether you pop it in your living room or your bedroom (or your office, or your dining room), this woven kilim rug is sure to make your space feel special." says Arro Home

Dusky sandscapes, the rusty hues of windswept dunes and blushing skies. Sahara by Sly is a celebration of earthy, summery tones working in harmony, bringing warmth and softness. Simplicity in its design means you can seamlessly bring the tonal beauty of the desert to your home.

We absolutely love Sly's latest offering and it's dusty pastel hues, brass detailing and the material of the moment terrazzo of course!!

Interior Trend Predictions for 2018... by Lucy Given from LUC. Design Store

Lucy Given is one busy lady. Not only is she paving the way for homeware interiors at her amazing LUC. design store in Hobart, she was also recently named the first ever ‘Retailer of the Year’ at the 2017 Gift and Life Instyle Awards.

Having over 25 years experience in both commercial and residential interior design and retail - Lucy knows a thing or two about what’s happening in the industry, on a national and international scale. This makes Lucy the perfect person to lead several education sessions at Reed Gift Fairs in Melbourne this August. Each session is tailored specifically to those within this ever-growing industry.

In preparation for the Reed Gift Fairs Melbourne event, Lucy has shared some of her professional interior trend predictions for spring/summer 18 with us... scroll down!

Scandinavian influences – this is an interior trend that has continued to flourish and evolve over the years. Interior trends for 2018 will combine Scandinavian designs with a much more paired back sensibility. This will include the use of vintage/timeless elements (think classic furniture and lighting from the 60’s and 70’s) teamed with a touch of glamour in metal, leather or glass  – creating a sense of comfort and luxury in the home. There will be less of the pale timbers and soft greys this season, and more walnut, natural leather and textural hides.

The return of colour – trending across the industry is the return of bold colour choices and the resurgence of layers and textures. There is a shift in the shades of colours we are used to seeing and a move toward earthy tones, metallics and shiny surfaces that reflect a sense of luxury and wealth. You can also expect to see lots of pink trending this season and more specifically millennial pink. Green will continue to remain a strong trend, however it will take on softer shades of sage, soft pastel celery and avocado. Dark interiors dominate with moody greys and intense blues - which makes me very happy.

The mix of colours with textures – this season we will continue to see the pairing of colours and textures, which includes velvet and natural textiles that will be emulated throughout linens and wools. Along with this, there will be an inclusion of leather, metal accents, concrete and glass mixed with other natural elements such as plants, timbers, stone and textural fabrics.

Marble and natural stone – Expect to see the pairing of marble and natural stone this season, with black being the new white when it comes to marbling. Keep an eye out for stone finishes and tones of grey and black, along with thin profiles in bench and table tops. Black kitchens will also become huge.

All of these trends and more will be showcased at Reed Gift Fairs Melbourne in August 2017.

Hunting for George transform converted warehouse apartment for the launch of their newest collection 'Welcome Home'...

Shot on location in a converted Gas Regulating House in North Melbourne, Hunting for George's latest collection 'Welcome Home' is every bit as stunning as the apartment itself!

New textiles from Hunting for George feature new materials including linen, chambray, quilting, wool and leather together with their signature pure cotton. There are many stand out pieces in the collection so it’s hard to pick favourites, but some of my picks are the Polar Quilt Cover Set with diagonal quilting. The Sunday Wool Blanket made from 100% wool and the luxurious Leo Navy Leather Cushion, a dreamy deep blue leather cushion with detailed piping.

The newbies in linen include Quilt Cover Sets, Standard and Euro Pillowcases and Tableware in classic White and Charcoal. And their newest must haves are the Leather cushion accessories which are available in Tan and Navy.

The Oliver Coffee Table makes its debut as the latest addition in the Hunting for George Oliver furniture range, all Australian made and available in soft white and matte black.

Complementing the all new linen tableware, sees the launch of Hunting for George Ceramics, handmade in Melbourne and available in 3 different products: Planter, Tumbler and Espresso Cup Set.

“We fell in love with this apartment. It’s height, grandeur and age were so welcoming. The open floor plan allowed us the freedom to transform the entire home and tell a comprehensive story. We have a extensive range of products for all areas of the home and we really wanted to showcase this.” Lucy Glade-Wright, Brand Director
